The most used function of our internet application is the interaction check. Therefore, this function is now newly available as a mobile application.
An increasing number of patients are being treated with several drugs concomitantly. As the number of drugs a patient is exposed to increases, so increases the risk of drug interactions and the associated adverse effects. This application checks the active ingredient with over 8500 interactions. The mechanism, the clinical consequences and necessary measures of the interaction are explained. A recent example of an interaction within a drug regimen is the case of a patient prescribed moxifloxacin for new onset pneumonia, who was already receiving amitriptyline, oxazepam, calcium/vitamin D3, alendronate and levomepromazine, for pre-existing anxious depression and severe osteoporosis. The application displays this interaction as a 3D image, therefore facilitating fast and easy interpretation. Detailed interaction information can be retrieved if desired. The application is intended primarily for use by specialists. Always seek the advice of your doctor or pharmacist with regard to the information contained within this site.
